Not since the death of Tim Russert have I been so sad when learning of a public figure’s untimely passing. Robin had such a bright life force – it was blinding at times. Since his death I’ve learned about many of his charitable activities. I knew he raised money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because my mother and niece met him once during a visit he made to Memphis. He was patient and accommodating with the interruption and request for a photo.
After learning of the shameless posturing by Rush Limbaugh (it’s hard to even type his name), my husband summed up the situation beautifully with this statement:
Robin Williams was an entertainer who, despite his drug addiction, chose to work to make the world a happier place.
Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer who, despite his drug addiction, chooses to work to spread fear and hate in the world.
